Am loving reading all that everyone's been up to...

What have you been doing for the past 60 years?: Our Lee days may have been 50 yrs. ago, but doesn't it feel more like only 20 or so? My favorite teacher had to be Mrs. White. Great Memories from Lee days! Went on to graduate from FSU as a Speech Pathologist in '66; married that sweet Jim Caraway who carried my books his sr. yr.at Lee. We left town, moving often - 1st: to Memphis where I was the "speech lady" in 7 schools - while Jim attended UT Med School; 2]San Francisco for Jim's internship yr. with 1st son, Spen in tow; 3]Dallas, TX for Jim's Diagnostic Radiology Residency at Parkland Hospital. where Todd was born our last yr. there; 4]to Bitburg, Germany Air Force Base Medical Hospital for 4 yrs. prior to our returning to USA; 5]Tampa, FL for Jim's teaching sojourn at South FL Med. School, and finally 6]back Home to Jax for Jim to join HIJC at Riverside Hospital, then later, the MBB Rad. Group at Baptist, once Riverside Hospital's Rad Dept. became the meat counter at the new Publix on Riverside Ave! We have 3 terrific & unique sons, J. Spence, Jr., Todd Griffin Caraway - [both in their -ye gads -their early 40s] & our caboose, Charles Boyd Caraway [Charlie],25, a recent UF Grad, Philosophy major, & into music & writing. Adore living near our 3 sons & 3 grandsons, Jimmy, Jared and 7 month old Cooper. In spare time, besides beaching it, boating, reading & crocheting, have loved tutoring an adult to learn to read via Clay County Literacy Coalition, plus availing myself of continuing studies at RPC. Must admit, my vol. job for our class brings out the detective in me, as am always on the hunt for Lost or MIA Lee classmates. Have loved assisting you in connecting with your olde pals! But, am now into my 'hounding' mode - to get you to 'hand in your paperwork' and Come Back Home to Jax - May 5th for our One & Only 50th Reunion! Finding that our many of our classmates have stayed on the move, often moving nearer grandkids. It's always a challenge to keep up with you guys & gals! [Would make my life so much easier if YOU kept with us!] So, please come back home May 5th, while we can still walk, talk and chew gum at the same time!

Hugs, Joanne GRIFFIN Caraway, 62 Lee Searcher, Finder/Keeper, Connector & Hounder!
