What have you been doing for the past 60 years?: Well, I have been very busy. After Robert E. Lee, six academic years in college, in the US and in Europe. Then, Five years as US manager of an Italian corporation, then five years on tour with The National Opera Company as principal Bass, Scenic Designer, Technical Director and Tour Manager. After that, Artist-In-Residence at six universities and colleges, and Bass opera singer with most US opera companies. Then, to my surprise, ten years as Engineering Manager and Senior Financial Analyst at the worlds largest barge line. And then, invited back to academe as director of opera and musical theater education at Xavier University. That, in turn, led to my (continued) consulting in Quality Management disciplines. So, In Summary, forty one major roles in Lyric Opera and musical theater, covering 2,500 performances; Designer and technical director of forty major opera and musical theater productions. Author of many papers on quality management in peer review journals, and about fifteen years as a university faculty guy. Now, I focus on maintaining my swimming pool and grilling vegetables. (And comparing Merlot to Cabernet Sauvignon)
