| What have you been doing for the past 60 years?: A half century is a long time, so this will be a snapshot. After UNC Chapel Hill I got an MBA at Wharton and then I became a Navy public affairs officer serving in Vietnam and later in Norfolk. Judy and I were married in 1967 and had two sons, both now grown. In the late 1960's, I was a TV news reporter at WJXT, then press secretary for Florida's Commissioner of Agriculture. Then, it was on into the world of advertising with agencies in Jacksonville, New York, Atlanta, and finally in Raleigh, where we've lived since 1979. In my mid-fifties, I'd had enough of the "Mad Men" life and started my own marketing consulting company and took up oil painting. I'm now represented in six art galleries around the country and teach art workshops when I can. Our one grandchild and our kids live in New Mexico, so we are there quite a bit. This has been a hop-scotch sort of life since Lee, but it's been great fun so far and there's plenty more to come. | |

What have you been doing for the past 60 years?:
Attended Washington & Lee University, and obtained a B.S. in Commerce and an LLB in law. Subsequently, for $10, received a J.D. to \"update\" the bachelor of laws degree. Moved to Atlanta, en route to Denver. Never made Denver, and practiced law until August 1, 2021, when I "retired." Started with a huge firm, and ended with a huge firm, but practiced with a smaller firm, formed my own firm, and then merged it into a national firm. Blessed with two children, a boy who became a lawyer, and a daughter who is a jet pilot. Three grandchildren, all courtesy of my wife who grew up in West Palm, and went to Duke. As I have been active in the non-profit world for years, decided to retire from that, too, but will find something to occupy my time, which may, or may not be productive. It is wonderful to be healthy and alive and able to enjoy it. May we all have health and a positive attitude. Beats the alternatives. |

What have you been doing for the past 60 years?:
Graduated from David Lipscomb University August 1966 with BS degree. Enlisted in US Navy September 1966. Viet Nam 1968/69 as XO of a River Patrol Support Base in Tan My, Viet Nam. Married September 1967. Spent 1969 through 1972 in Nashville TN. Moved to Memphis in fall of 1972, here ever since. Retired from banking in December 2012. Last four years as Chief Credit Officer. We have three sons; Richard (1970) currently working in Chantilly, VA about to relocate his family there from Knoxville, three children; Paul (1974) lives in Nashville, TN and has two daughters; Daniel (1979) lives in Searcy, AR has a daughter and another due in June. My wife and I are enjoying the grandchildren and we enjoy traveling. Looking forward to seeing folks at reunion |
